Alessandro Prandi produces up to 2000 cases exclusively from their small family farm in the historic town of Diano d'Alba including Sorì Cristina and Sorì Colombè. The Prandi winery has a rich history, starting in the 1920s when Farinetti Cav. Majorino began marketing his family wine. In the 1960s, his nephew Giovanni joined and today, Alessandro Prandi, Giovanni's son, continues the family legacy. In addition to Dolcetto, the winery produces Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Dolcetto, and Langhe Arneis. Barbera is a very widespread wine, a witness and almost an architect itself of the culture (oenological and otherwise) of the old Piedmont. This wine is particularly appreciated for its intense and fragrant aroma, delicately ethereal when ripe. It is a full-bodied wine with an intense ruby red color that acquires the nuances of garnet over the year.
